Inspiresport Welcomes First US Basketball Tour of the Summer to Spain

This June, inspiresport proudly welcomed its first basketball tour of the summer as PPA Hoops from the US traveled over to sunny Spain. Over the course of nine exciting days, the group traveled between Madrid and Valencia, taking part in elite training sessions, competitive fixtures, and a cultural adventure they won’t forget anytime soon.

This incredible tour has truly set the tone for the season. Highlighting the unforgettable experiences that are waiting to be discovered by the many teams joining us this summer, and taking their sporting development to the next level.

Tour Highlights

Elite Coaching with Valencia Basket

Across the week, the group enjoyed four expert-led training sessions at Valencia Basket, one of the most respected basketball academies in Spain. Thanks to our long-standing relationships with both Valencia Basket and Valencia CF, players also had the unique opportunity to tour both the club’s soccer and basketball stadiums, gaining an insight into elite European sport across two disciplines.

These sessions weren’t just about drills, they were about development, teamwork, and stepping into the world of professional sport.

International Fixtures

During the tour, the team competed in three friendly matches against Spanish opposition, with games hosted in both Madrid and Valencia.

These fixtures are always a highlight, offering players a real chance to put their new skills into practice in a fun but competitive setting. Beyond the game itself, it’s an opportunity for young athletes to connect with their teammates, build confidence, and experience a different sporting culture.

The energy courtside was electric, and we know the players had an absolute blast, playing the sport they love, making new friends, and growing as a team.

Cultural Discovery & Excursions

Travelling over 3,800 miles from the US, the tour wasn’t just about basketball, it was about broadening horizons.

The group explored Madrid with a guided city tour, taking in iconic sights like Puerta del Sol and the Royal Palace, followed by a visit to the world-famous Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. In Valencia, they enjoyed free time in the vibrant city center, shopped at local markets, and finished it all off with a relaxing boat ride across Lake Albufera, paired with a traditional Spanish lunch.

These experiences are what make our tours truly special, offering a mix of sport, culture, and lifelong memories.
