Ohio ODP experienced an incredible UK soccer tour filled with top-level training, exciting matches, iconic stadium visits and unforgettable moments for players, coaches and families alike.
From London to Manchester, this action-packed trip combined elite soccer experiences with world-famous sightseeing, giving everyone memories to last a lifetime.
A Brilliant Start in London
The UK soccer tour began in London, where Ohio ODP headed straight to The Hive for an opening training session and the chance to get moving after the journey.
Later that day, the group enjoyed their first taste of English soccer with Watford vs. Charlton Athletic at Vicarage Road in the EFL Championship. Experiencing the atmosphere, passion and pace of the game up close was a fantastic way to start the tour.
Away from the pitch, players and families also enjoyed some of London’s most famous attractions, including the London Eye and a River Thames cruise through the capital.
Elite Experiences in Manchester
The tour then moved north to Manchester, where Ohio ODP enjoyed one of the biggest highlights of the trip, two professional coaching sessions at Manchester City Football Academy.
Training in a world-class environment with Manchester City coaches gave players a real insight into elite performance levels and what it takes to succeed at the top of the game.

International Competition and Matchdays
A key part of the UK soccer tour was the chance to compete against English opposition. Ohio ODP took on local clubs including Frodsham Park JFC, Glossop North End, Winsford Town and Parkfield Juniors in a series of competitive and enjoyable fixtures.
The group also attended a live Premier League game as Burnley FC took on Brighton at Turf Moor, adding another brilliant professional soccer experience to the week.

Stadium Tours and Lasting Memories
No UK soccer tour would be complete without visiting some of soccer’s most famous venues. Ohio ODP enjoyed behind-the-scenes tours of the Etihad Stadium and Anfield, home of Liverpool FC, giving players and families the chance to walk where legends have played.
